God Is Faithful

I was so thankful to be a part of the Portland Oregon evangelism trip. I had to trust God to put all this together and He did.

As we talked about prayer, we prayed that our team would have boldness to share the gospel, fruit of salvation, long term connections and a disciple for Thomas. On the plane ride to Portland, my prayer was answered. I shared the gospel with a lady sitting next to me. She wasn’t ready to receive Jesus as her Saviour yet, but God was faithful.

Coming to Portland we were seeing the most beautiful fall colors on the trees and ministry was all around us. I was being mindful and thankful to be in partnership with God, to take the good news into all the world to every creature (Mark 16:15).

We started our days with quite time and devotion, and the power of the Holy Spirit going with God’s word to hit the streets. As Mike was guiding us around the corner there was a man from Columbia cleaning business windows. As we started talking he mostly spoke in Spanish. He said had he had a lot of problems with his son and he had been talking to God about this and his own relationship with God. He received Jesus as Saviour as the good news was shared that day.

We were praying to the Lord of the harvest who saved souls and witnessing God’s work and love for His people. (Luke 19:10).

On Friday I felt lead to go share the gospel with a young man and four girls. They were Guatemalans that answered me in Spanish. The young man showed interest in everything I was saying. He came as a guest to our Saturday meeting and stayed the entire day, evangelizing, interpreting, and learning God’s great truth in bible study, and being loved by the body of Christ. He stayed the entire day again with us on Sunday. And Sunday night he gave his life to the Lord Jesus (Luke 15:7). This was our long term weekend connection. God is faithful.

I am thankful for the many people that did stop to hear the gospel, and the ones that gave their life to Jesus! Praying to the Lord of the harvest to continue to send laborers into His harvest field in Portland.
