“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

- Matthew 11:28

What is the gospel?

It means ‘good news’. It is a term used by Christians to describe what God has done to provide man with hope and reconciliation.

So what is the good news?

The good news of the bible is the sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was an atonement made for the sins of all mankind and is freely available and accessible to all.

How do I accept the good news?

Admit that you have sinned

First by accepting the bad news, that we have made mistakes and errors in our ways and are unable to reconcile our actions with God on our own.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Then we accept that our mistakes have put us at odds with God and His desire for us.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death…

Believe that God has made a way to save you through His Son Jesus.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Confess Jesus as your Lord.

Call upon Him to save you. You must BELIEVE with your heart that He is God, and rose from the dead, and CONFESS with your mouth, repenting of sin, and asking for forgiveness.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What do I do now?

Tell somebody! We’d love to hear, please let us know!

You should also begin attending a church that will teach you the bible.
